Today we’re talking a little bit about water damage restoration and repair, and specifically a piece of equipment that we use during the water damage restoration process. We’re talking about water extraction equipment. Water extractors, or water pumps, are high end commercial grade pieces of equipment that can pump out and move water at high rates. Take a look at the picture in this article. This is a simple water pump used to extract water. Commercial water pumps can get much much bigger depending on the size of the project. Water extraction is the process of removing water from an area or room that has been flooded, and is an essential step in the water restoration process. Before we are able to dry out a room or space, and then restore it to its pre-loss condition, we first have to remove any standing water. We are a full-service property restoration company, specializing in all things property restoration, including water damage repair. We are also a 24/7 emergency services company, offering help at all times of the day. So, if you have a flood or water leak on your hands, please don't hesitate to give us a call right now. When it comes to water extraction, it's important to be able to move water out of a space fast. The longer that water sits in your home or business, the more damage it will do. If we are notified of a potential flood or water damage situation quickly, we can usually get to the scene within two hours (often faster) and get the water removed quickly. Our prompt response time is key and has saved many homeowners and business owners lots of money over the years by avoiding costly repairs that would have otherwise been incurred had we not been able to get there quickly. Before we are able to remove standing or flood waters, we first need to locate the source of the water and make sure that the leak has been stopped.  Only then can we start to extract the water and dry out the space and make repairs. After removing all of the standing water, we bring in dehumidifiers and air movers to speed up the drying process.   After the space has been fully dried out we can properly assess the damages and let the homeowner or property owner know how much restoration needs to be done in order to get the space to its pre-loss condition. If you have any questions about water damage, fire damage, smoke damage or mold damage, just give us a call. We are here to help twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week.
