You’ll see lots of Ford Focus sedans and hatchbacks on the road because they are a decent and inexpensive everyday driver. Popular cars also tend to have a few problems but don’t worry, we’ve seen more than a few of them and can tell you what problems your Ford Focus will probably have.
Brake Problems
The Ford Focus tends to have a problem with some of the original and replaceable brake parts. Some drivers noted the steering wheel could start to shimmy and shake under braking and later determined the shaking came from the rear of the vehicle. The problem turns out to be an issue with the brake rotors wearing down too quickly and causing the brake pads themselves to shake under stress.
Not a great problem to have, though easy to notice since the steering wheel will certainly tell you what’s up. If you notice the problem, bring it to us and we’ll confirm the problem and let you know how we will fix it up.
Check Engine light
Consider a check engine light a potential plea for help from your engine. Inside, something is happening that shouldn’t be, and you are being warned. Drivers say that the orange or yellow glowing light likes to show up often on the Ford Focus, and sometimes for no good reason. Other times the vehicle actually does need some maintenance. Transmission problems
