Global Risk Consultants recently contacted us to look at their existing lobby sign because it no longer reflected their company completely since a re-organization and the sign needed a new look because it was installed several years ago. The previous lobby sign was made of 3/16” acrylic letters and logos, directly applied to the wall, which was covered in wallpaper.
After a couple meetings and discussions, we created 3 signs to incorporate all the company divisions and managed to recycle some of the letters for the new sign. We designed an idea to use a ¼” base metal that is finished in brush aluminum. We carefully removed the existing acrylic dimensional lettering from the wall and applied those to the new bases. We had to fabricate one new acrylic logo to match since the old one was missing and broken. We then designed and cut black vinyl for the second line text on each sign, designed and printed full color logos on vinyl, and applied a high quality gloss laminate. All the elements were then mounted on 3 separate bases to designate the divisions of Global Risk Consultants. The lobby signs were mounted in such a way as to not reveal the hardware so it now has a clean finish.
The result is the image of the lobby sign above. The new lobby sign has much more impact when you walk into the lobby and it reflects the organization and culture of the company. In the process of removing the old dimensional letters from the wall, we advised that the wallpaper be replaced before we install the new signs. As a result of the project, Global Risk Consultants management team is happy with the results and the employees are proud. There is no doubt, that a well designed and installed lobby sign can add a professional look for the organization. It is easy to overlook the importance of how your company is perceived when a client arrives at your organization as well as what it means to employees, a lobby sign adds real value to the perception of your organization and creates a statement.
