Project: Building Sign Channel Letters

Client: Beltone Audiology
We were contacted by the Beltone Audiology corporate office because they were looking for a sign company to install a new building sign on the front of their new store front. We surveyed the building front and monument sign to get sizes established, provided a quote and discussed the details of the job so they were completely comfortable using Epic Signs & Graphics for fabricating and installing an illuminated LED sign. The result is seen below.
In the picture above you see channel letters just after a fresh install. The letters were made with .040 aluminum metal on the sides and backs. The fronts are all made with white acrylic. The circular cabinet has additional translucent vinyl applied to the face so the light illuminates the blue colored logo. The letters and the cabinet contain LED lights installed through out the letters and the cabinet.

When we were contacted by Beltone, we knew we were competing against other sign companies. We performed our usual process of listening to the customer, taking a detailed survey of the site location, and providing an honest quote with full explanations on what we will do. Since they were not familiar with the city permitting process, we provided the service to get it done which included attending an evening meeting and disussing the project with city officials. Since this particular city required a review process, there was an unexpected delay causing the potential of the sign not installing in time for their grand opening. However, because we were able to turn the work over to fabrication and schedule installers efficiently, we were able to install the sign the weekend they were moving in!
LED illuminated signs offer a couple great benefits. One, there is much lower on-going operating costs since LED lights do not require much power as compared to neon or flourescent bulbs. In addition, the LED light source provides a high luminance level so the sign provides a vibrant clean apperance that gets noticed.
