My name is Beth McMahon. I just turned 60 years old and my whole life has been lived as a competitive athlete. From the time I was six, I was competitive gymnast. And you can imagine the ruin of my body that has taken the toll that has taken on my joints and my muscles over all those years. My senior year in high school, right after I received my scholarship for gymnastics, I blew out my right knee and tore my ACL.
It was a series of many years until I was 40 years old and had a total knee replacement. My whole body just really went to stiffness and a lot of pain and going to a gym was the only way I could work out. And it just was not fun and it wasn’t helping my body one bit. It wasn’t until I discovered Pilates that I rediscovered feeling good, walking and feeling good moving and having no stiffness.
And it’s a miracle for me. It is part of my life fail that I will never give up. So if you’ve never tried Pilates, I highly recommend you do. And I would say it’s probably for mostly everyone.
I’m Layla, miss baggie. I joined this apologetic club in October, 2019, and then after a back and hips, uh, injury. After 60 sessions of physical therapy last year in 2020, I was told that that was the best I have reached. And that was my max and I was at my maximum capacity. So I rejoined Pilates and I’ve been doing it every day since August of 2020.
And that has changed my life. So I’m pain-free, I was not able to sit more than 20 minutes walk more than 20 minutes, or be in any position more than 20 minutes, which I have just totally, um, Do things for a longer time, I sit down and watch a movie, actually. So this has been great and I’ve been recommending it to all my friends.
So do Pilates.
Hi, my name is Judith Lynch and I joined Club Pilates days, February of 2021. My first time ever. I’ve never done Pilates before. I am so excited for what I get out of these classes, the instructors are very attentive to me and hands-on to teaching me my downfalls. I love coming here to Club Pilates in Fort Myers. My pain threshold used to be so much greater than it is now.
Now I’m able to work out and I’m seeing the results in my overall health and well being. I’ve done so many classes and love all of them. Now I’m getting ready to do suspension classes. I never thought in a million years I’d be doing suspension classes, you know, doing TRX training. Um, but I love Pilates. I love what Pilates does for me on all levels. And I’m going to continue to do Pilates as long as I can.
