Growth is the goal of any church. When the Guidestone Church in Buena Park grew, it needed help with new signs. As is the case with so many faith communities, making a good impression while staying on budget was a key element of the project. Could we help them? You bet!
Making Use of Existing Signage Offers Budget-Friendly Solutions
The church was able to take over the location of another faith community that had moved to another building. The group left behind a pylon sign that was overall functional. That said, it was not very pretty. We worked with the measurements and proposed a new setup using translucent graphics on acrylic panels.
Doing so would make it possible to re-use the existing sign and save money. We used a high-ink print profile to prevent the imprint from presenting with a washed out look once the lights turn on. Now, the pylon sign displays the Guidestone Church’s name and logo alongside a tagline. The vibrant colors attract attention day and night.
Using Lightbox Cabinet Technology to Its Fullest Advantage
The technology is deceptively simple. You have a box that we shape with the help of aluminum. We build in illumination in the form of LEDs. When finished, we close off the front and back with translucent acrylic. Imprinted vinyl overlays or direct prints spell out your company’s details.
But this technology only works when the message fully encapsulates your brand. Since the displays are more extensive, the sign’s details must be more pronounced. This is an excellent time for your logo and associated features to shine. Of course, it is also an opportunity for less than favorable displays if your colors wash out when illuminated.
Using Technology That is Already in Place
Your venue’s lightbox cabinets may be building signs, the tops of pylons, or part of a monument marker. No matter which appearance your signage takes on, we can help you decide if the product is a good fit for your company.
- Safety assessment. We start with an appraisal for safety. Doing so ensures that all wiring is up to code and the setup is structurally sound. There is little point in overhauling a sign if you have to invest a lot of money just to bring it up to par.
- Refurbishing. Next, we clean the existing signage and – if needed – paint it. If some of the lights need to be replaced, now is a good time to handle that, too.
- Front and back replacement. The panels we prepare are customized with your information. We help you select the right look. If you do not yet have a logo or chosen font, our graphic artist can help you with that, too.
