Last year, Superior Signs and Graphics worked with the committee at Messiah Lutheran to put together building lettering and directional signs to help parishioners find their way. One of the board members liked our work so much that she commissioned our shop to do “Welcome” lettering for the nursing home that her father lived at before he recently died at 99 years of age. We were honored to design, produce, and install these custom dimensional building letters to welcome guests in Yorba Linda, CA!
One-Inch-Thick PVC Transforms the Entrance of a Nursing Home
At the beginning of the walkway, a canopy protects visitors from rain or too much sunshine. Before we went to work on the letter design, it was painted in an attractive white color, but it did not have any outstanding characteristics.
Our client’s father always said that he wanted to see “Welcome” letters mounted on the canopy at the home. Our technicians cut one-inch-thick PVC into the letters, painted them in a dark, contrasting color to match the canopy’s roof, and then stud-mounted the elements to the wall.
The securely mounted letters look great and now welcome visitors and residents. Our client donated this sign to the home on her father’s behalf. This is a beautiful gesture that is sure to be appreciated for many years to come.
Choosing a Material for Exterior 3D Letters
PVC is an excellent material. We can paint it in any color you like. Besides that, it is durable and weathers well. You choose a font you love, and our technicians cut the material in the appropriate shapes. However, PVC is not the only option.
