Before that, we worked with the Athletics Department on soccer stadium branding. How would this latest project elevate the student experience at the location? Let’s take a look!
The client had two distinct projects in mind. The first involved a pillar wall wrap to replace one we did several years ago. It was time for an upgrade, including a new menu board. The second signage setup is the Pop-up Shop that the school created so students can display and sell merchandise. It gives learners a chance to start a small retail business without investing a lot of money at the outset.
For this sign, we used quarter-inch-thick aluminum composite that we contour-cut with our CNC router for the whimsical shape. The lettering consists of quarter-inch-thick acrylic that we cut with our laser for crisp edges. We installed a digital print on the sign face before mounting the painted 3D pieces.
The Fresh Kitchen pillar brands the location, creates a visually stunning display, and adds functionality with the menu board. Notice the flame graphics and subliminal gray-on-black print that identify different food options.
How to Protect Wall Wraps From Scratches, Peeling, and Fading
The student union is a busy place. Crowded spaces increase the risk of scratches on wall wraps and custom-printed wallpaper. Kitchen wall decals also have to withstand higher moisture. How do you protect wall wraps and graphics from damage? We recommend overlaminate films that add a protective, clear layer over the vinyl to help the product withstand scuffs, scratches, and standard abrasion.
How to Clean Custom Signage
Most signage solutions we produce for our clients require very little cleaning. That said, you can maintain the products for a great look. Start by dusting three-dimensional signage with a microfiber cloth. Wall graphics may need an occasional wipe-down with a moist cloth. If needed, add a little mild dish soap to the water. Never use anything that would scratch the signage surface. Examples include the scrubbing side of a sponge or liquid cleaners that contain microabrasives.
If your signage needs cleaning beyond the occasional swipe with a microfiber cloth, call our team. We not only design, produce, and install custom signs for student unions, kitchens, and all types of locations, but we also maintain them if needed. Call us today!
