Schools are always in need of new signage; from yard signs to football banners. We recently installed a large stadium sign for St Francis High School and they were now looking to update the sponsors on their stadium scoreboard. As the school, it is always a good idea to shine a light on your supporters and it gives small, but appreciated, boost in advertisement for those sponsors.
The graphic was a simple, long landscape sign with the logos of the selected sponsors spread across it. To save the school the extra cost, we used a inexpensive metal sign as the backer. Our composite metal material is a light and sturdy base plate for this type of graphic, we highly recommend it! However, being that this is an exterior sign, we need to give as much thought to the printed graphic and laminate.
We decided to print the graphics on Oracal’s Orajet Gloss Stock, a favorite here at The Sign Authority. Its four year outdoor durability guarantee and its permanent, water-based adhesive ensure the best product possible. This makes the Orajet great for both interior and exterior signage as well as decals, nameplates, and any other graphic. Both sections were treated with a Oracal Oraguard gloss laminate. This treatment offers a high level of UV protection as well as protection from moisture and abrasion.
