Window vinyl orders are a common occurrence here at The Sign Authority; many business realize that open window space is a great place to advertise or post their logo. Mounting a logo onto a clear window both gives the area a interesting as well as a professional look. Tilbury, of Westmont, noticed their available space and decided to take action, applying their logo in several different formats.
The customer ordered two decals to be cut from a specialty silver etched glass vinyl. This material gives a frosted effect or the impression of etched or sandblasted glass depending on the customer’s order. It can vary from a fine to a coarse texture for a more realistic appearance. The vinyl is designed for use in windows and mirrors and is available in both silver and gloss. Even without any specialty laminate, the vinyl is rated for several years of durability making it a perfect choice for a permanent decal.
The other order was for a large decal to be applied to a clear acrylic panel and in full color. The decals were printed onto an Orajet gloss stock substrate. The material has a high rating for outdoor use, but can be used for interior signage as well, which is what the customer had planned. It is also treated with a Oraguard laminate, ensure the decal will resist denting, ripping, or deterioration.
