As part of the Wheaton community, The Sign Authority is committed to creating signage to help neighborhood not-for-profit organizations such as DuPage PADS. For the second year in a row, The Sign Authority created various event signage such as mile marker race signs and banners for the 8
th annual DuPage PADS Run for Home 5K and 10K run and 5K walk fundraiser. The company donated the start and finish banners for the event.
The Wheaton-based DuPage PADS is a 27-year-old not-for-profit organization that works to end homelessness by providing career building assistance, shelter and permanent supportive housing to its DuPage clients. For more information, visit

From paper to printer, sign design is a collaborative process. A designer from PADS creates the artwork and then submits it to The Sign Authority.
A Sign Authority team member receives the artwork, inputs the artwork in computer files and send the information to a printer. The signs are then cut and mounted on the substrate. To create the signage, The Sign Authority used a corrugated plastic material known as coroplast. These signs will most likely be used again next year because of the generic content and durability of the material.
