Diamond Visual Communications recently printed and custom cut clear vinyl for a new children's fine arts center in Beachwood, Ohio. This was a fun and creative project.

The customer,
THRIVE, wanted phrases the looked painted. The cost for a painter would have been high. Instead, they chose printing. Diamond Visual Communications offered clear vinyl that could be printed on our Hewlett Packard Latex 360. Each letter would be die cut. When applied, the letters have the appearance of being painted.
The word "THRIVE" in the picture to the left is the only one with each letter being a different color. This area is THRIVE's main lobby. THRIVE had setup branding standards. THRIVE had setup color specifications for each letter. Thus, Diamond Visual Communications was able to print each letter in the exact color that THRIVE wanted. The vinyl we used was thin enough to give the appearance of being painted directly to the wall. The white behind the letters also helped define each color. A dark color painted to the wall would have a completely different affect. White is contrasting with most colors.
The next couple of pictures show Diamond Visual Communications installing other phrases at THRIVE. We applied a total of 9 which includes the main

lobby sign. At the two entrances, Diamond applied phrases that were teal in color. The remaining 6 phrases were all charcoal grey, almost black. Since some of the phrases were 5 and 6 feet wide, Diamond applied in sections.
After each phrase was printed and cut, Diamond applied transfer tape on top. This keeps the letters in place after the backing paper or liner is removed. We use masking tape on top of the transfer tape to position the phrases.

After the liner is removed the letters are applied to the wall using the transfer tape as a guide. Diamond adds pressure to the tape and letters creating adhesion. The transfer tape is removed and then additional pressure is applied to make sure there is a strong bond between the letters and the wall.
Diamond installed everything in about 2 hours. This was a day before THRIVE's grand opening. The customer anticipates additional phrases being required and will look to Diamond Visual Communications as the source for printed and custom cut clear vinyl .
