Recently we were contacted by Fourth Quarter barber shop, located in Charlotte, NC. They called us because the name of the business led people to believe that they were a drinking establishment and they wanted to add some barber poles to both their existing street signs and the sign above their business, to let people that they could get their hair cut there.
To the left you can see the sign with the barber poles added to it. It is understandable why people might have confused this for a bar, before the poles were added. So not only were people disappointed by not being what they expected, this customer was also loosing out on business, because people did not know what he did. Now there is no question about what he does and should bring in new business from people that need to get their hair cut. Rodney does a great job cutting hair and is very friendly to work with. They are located on Westinghouse Blvd, just off of I-77 in Charlotte.
Do you know how many people have driven by this store everyday? every hour? A well designed sign can generate leads for your business, especially on this busy road. So in addition to adding the poles to the sign above the business we also added the barber poles to the sign by the road, so as people are driving past, it will catch their attention and hopefully will stop in and get their hair done.
This was a very inexpensive fix to an existing sign that was clear about what he does. While it would have been a little easier to to this on the original design, it is what it is and we work with what we have. Alot of times it is hard to see the bigger picture and know the future.
