We received a call from the owner of Fitness Together, the location in Plaza Midwood and they were looking to get some new graphics for their windows. The existing window perforation had been up for many years and was faded by the sun, so they wanted to update the images. We had previously done some work for another location located in Ballantyne and the customer was very pleased with the result.
First I asked the customer what they were looking for as far as graphics. As you can see from the photo on the left, the graphics that were on the window were very hard to see what exactly they did inside. So we started out the process by eliminating the existing graphics on the windows or at least for the sake of showing the customer what it would be like without them on the window, we used Photo shop to help achieve this. Then you see the finished windows in the second picture, where we installed graphics onto the window instead of using window perforation.
After going back and forth with the customer on exactly what they wanted and sharing proofs with them to show them what it would look like when finished, we had everything printed and headed out the the Plaza Midwood location. Once we arrived we were able to remove the old window perforation without too much trouble and proceeded to clean the windows so we could install the new graphics. We measure twice and install once, so we ensure the graphics are in the proper location and are not blocked by anything, such as the bushes at this location. Then after installation we clean up the area, so it looks like no one was even there, except for the new graphics.
When deciding what type of advertising you would like to do, as with these windows at Fitness Together, it is important to consider multiple factors. First, you want to check the city codes for how much of the window can be covered, in this case, you can only cover 50% of your windows with anything. So with having four windows and only partially covering two of them, we were able to stay well within specs. Secondly you will want to decide what type of material you would like to use, such as window perforation, printed vinyl or just colored vinyl. Window perforation is a common choice for people due to the fact you can see out, people on the outside see what you have printed.
