When you need something with your logo on it, you have two choices. You can purchase it from someone who purchased it from someone else and then put your logo on it, and billed you for the marked up item, labor of handling and the process of putting the art on it and whatever materials was used for that process. Or, you can buy the items straight from the supplier and have your logo decals made and put them on yourself. You are cutting away the mark up of the item as well as the cost of the labor and handling of the application process. Of course this is a case by case scenario and would not be the most economical rout for everything situation (i.e. an order of 10,000 pens, mugs or anything small and vast in quantity)
A more applicable situation for this idea would be, for example, a customer of ours needed hard hats for his crew. I think he ordered 25 hard hats. He purchased 25 plain white hard hats straight from the producer, no middle man or handling fees. Then he had us produce quality logo decals to be placed on the hard hats. We used a quality 3m industrial grade vinyl with the matching UV laminate. The type of vinyl that is used for vehicle wraps. Lastly, and as a bonus money and time saver, he had his crew put the decals on their own hard hats.
Other items where this could be applied would be coolers, chairs, tables, tablets, laptops, even cars and trucks.
