When Should You Book Your Session?
As soon as you have a tentative due date, it is best to start thinking about booking your newborn session to ensure availability, as my schedule books up several months in advance. But don’t worry, if your little one has already arrived, I hold a few days a month on my calendar just for newborn sessions.
I recommend scheduling your session within the first ten weeks of life, so we are able to capture beautiful images of your newborn in its prime. I do think it’s important for mom and baby to have plenty of time to recover from the arrival, so don’t stress about the timing of the session.
What To Expect After You Book Your Session:
Once you have booked your session, I will be in touch to discuss details and answer any of your questions. We'll talk about clothing choices, how to prepare siblings, styling tips, and anything else you’re concerned with.
At this time, I also send out a to learn more about your family and create the best possible experience for all involved.
I offer sessions in your home where you, a recovering mom, and your baby will be most comfortable. This way, we are able to take as much time as needed for feedings, diaper changes, and snuggles.
What To Expect During the Session:
My sessions are lifestyle focused, meaning no overly dramatic props or posing. Things like your baby's first blanket or stuffed animal are good choices if you want added props.
We won't be doing any babies in baskets or little hammocks, as the best place for a baby is in their mother or father's arms, where they are most comfortable and natural.
These sessions are 100% baby-led, which means the session will last anywhere from 1 to 2 hours. We will take any necessary breaks to feed, change, or comfort your baby. I will continue taking photos of your loving interactions the entire time.
What To Expect After the Session:
After your session, I will provide you with a digital gallery of beautifully edited images you can use to create products like albums, prints, and canvas. You can expect to have your gallery in 1-3 weeks, depending on seasonal demand fluctuations.
