Families come in all shapes and sizes. Whether you are a family of two, an expanding family, a family with a new little one, or a family with teenagers, your life revolves around the experiences that you share together. As a mom, and a photographer, I know how important moments with your family are, and I can help you capture those moments. If you are in the Bay Area and looking for a lifestyle photographer, I can help. Now that my kids are grown, I realize that the photographs that I treasure the most aren’t the ones where everyone was all dressed up, stiffly posed, and smiling at the camera. To be honest, when I look at those photographs, I usually just think, “What were we wearing?”. The photographs that I love and that I look at over and over again are the ones that give me the “feels.” The ones that show my family’s personality, the ones that make me go, “Oh, I remember that moment.” That’s what I want to give you. So, say goodbye to cheesy smiles and stressing over that perfect shot. Instead, let’s capture a day in your life with your family being their authentic selves at this phase of your life. Let’s capture the funny faces your little one makes or even that look your teenager gives you that drives you crazy. I promise those are the moments you’re going to treasure when your little ones are all grown up. Your session will be fun and stress-free. All you have to do is relax, engage in the activities you and your family love to do together, and I will capture the magic.

1. In-home family session - Home is where your family spends the most time together. It’s where the magic happens. It’s where your little one took his first steps, and the tooth fairy came for the first lost tooth. It’s the place where you can relax, kick off your shoes, and be yourself. It’s where the little moments happen that you might not even know that you’re going to want to remember when you look back in 10 years. This is what we capture in our in-home family sessions. There is no need to complicate things; just let yourself unwind and do what you always do. Watch TV on the couch, bake cookies, play games, or do whatever comes to mind when thinking of your favorite times spent at home with your family.

 

2. Outdoor family session - During your outdoor family session, we’ll bring together fun, authentic moments with your family and the picturesque nature of the Bay Area. Sessions could include teaching your little one to ride a bike, hiking your favorite trail, playing a game in the backyard, or enjoying a picnic in a scenic park; the possibilities are endless. Come prepared to enjoy your day in the outdoors with your family, and I will handle the rest.

3. Maternity session -  Having a baby is a special time for you and your family. Whether this is baby number one or number four, it’s such an exciting time adding a new little one to your family. It’s time to celebrate your changing body and your changing family. Don’t worry; I’ve got you covered. I offer maternity sessions between 32-37 weeks of your pregnancy. Sessions can be done in your home or outdoors.

4. In-home Newborn session - You’ve waited nine months to meet your newest family member, and he or she has finally arrived! These first few days and weeks with your little one are going to fly by. It’s an amazing, exciting, and exhausting time! Newborn sessions are about capturing the special bond and connection that your family has together. There won’t be fancy poses or props, just lots of cuddles and snuggles. We can even capture some firsts, like the first bath. Newborn sessions are offered up to 10 weeks after delivery.
