Choosing the perfect location
One of my last sessions was with Veronica R. and her family.
I met the family at Crab Cove on Alameda early one evening. The weather was perfect and the day was clear. The fog hadn’t yet rolled in.
And by the end of the session we had entered the Golden Hour. That’s the time before sunset when the sun is low and the light is golden and beautiful. Photographers love the Golden Hour!
How to deal with a shy toddler
What made this shoot so perfect though wasn’t the weather, but Veronica, Dave and their little one.
Veronica warned me that the 
little one was quite serious, and boy was she right! She was such a sweetheart but I couldn’t coax a smile out of her!
She’s their first and she just turned one! What a thrilling time in their lives as she is growing from a baby in to a toddler. So many milestones at this age. She’s walking and starting to talk.
She loves music and dancing and we had fun singing along to Baby Shark during the session. She even danced a little!
This was her first walk on the beach. Even though she wasn’t thrilled with the feel of the sand on her toes, I’m sure she’ll grow to love it!
Capturing those magic moments
