Pre-Session Preparation
A great deal of time before a session is spent communicating with clients so that they know exactly what to expect during their session.
I start by asking questions about you and your family so that I have a sense of who you are before we meet. I send a questionnaire so that I know what you are envisioning for your session. There are emails with what to wear tips and how to prepare the kids (and husband) for the session.
The better prepared we all are, the more stress-free the sessions are. And this leads to better images.
During Your Session
My sessions usually last 1-2 hours and 
I don't like to put a time limit on my sessions. Often it takes a while for kids to warm up, or for parents to relax.
I want the session to last as long as it takes to capture the essence of the family and I don't want time constraints to add stress to a session.
Post-Session Editing
Editing images after a session typically takes twice as long as the actual session time.
Editing starts with importing the images from camera to computer. This is followed culling and organizing the images. Next, the images are cropped, straightened and color corrected. Finally they are uploaded to your gallery for viewing.
After you've seen your images, it's time to get together to help you decide how to display your images in your home.
