As a parent I am always looking for fun things that my child can do. Especially things that are extracurricular activities that will help promote my child to grow into a confident student. Here at The Learning Tree Preschool they have many enrichment programs to pick from. The one that I absolutely LOVE is Soccer Shots!
Soccer shots comes to The Learning Tree Preschool in Livermore once a week in the morning. The coaches are very kind and child orientated. The class in also the perfect size; they never have a group bigger than 10 children participating from ages 2 to 5 years old. The Soccer Shots coaches will go above and beyond to build relationships with the children to make sure that they are comfortable at all times. They simply start the session off with “getting to know you” type games to allow the children to feel comfortable and warmed up for class. The coach will make sure that all the children are engaging with each other while making sure to teach lessons through interactive participation that will help develop gross motor skills and self- confidence. The Soccer Shots coaches allow the children to better understand that they are team players because everyone is a winner! During their session you will get to see the children learning drills on how to control their bodies by dribbling the soccer ball and learning to work together by passing it to their teammates. The children always really enjoy running up and down the lawn as they participate in a “Soccer game”. Did I mention…the cost is also very affordable and by the end of their six-week session they will receive an award and more goodies showing that they have completed a session. The smiles on the children’s faces are priceless as they finish their last class with a backpack, all parading in matching T-shirts and a gold medal around their necks. I would definitely say that this enrichment program at The Learning Tree Preschool in Livermore is a great way to help any child that might be shy or looking to learn how to play a sport in a comfortable environment!
