Spring time can be so much fun for kids! As the weather gets nicer, we tend to go out more and enjoy family time even more. With the crisp air and flowers blooming its always beautiful. Its especially great to enjoy walks and trips to the park with the whole family! Usually in spring we tend to notice how fast the year is going by! As well as how fast our children are growing up. The Learning Tree cherishes every moment we spend with your kids as we know that our babies are only babies for so long.
Keeping memories and small things from our child’s childhood is so important. Here is a fun craft to make with your child to commemorate spring, but also provides a way for us to remember how little they were at a point in time!
What you’ll need:
1- a piece of white printer paper
2- paint ( green and another spring color is suggested)
3- a plate
Instructions:
1- pour the green paint on the plate to create a small puddle.
2- place your child’s forearm in the green paint as this will make the stem.
4- lift your child's arm and let the excess paint drip off then put your child's arm on the paper so the paint gets passed from their arm to the paper.
5- After wiping the paint of their arm, place both your child’s hands in the paint. Making sure its spread out as this will form the leaves on the stem.
6- place both hands at the end of the stem on the paper, one on each side.
7- wash the green paint off and place the next color onto the plate.
9- place their hands in the next color and place about 5 hand prints in a circle to make the flower and petals
8 OPTIONAL- take brown and put some dots scattered in the middle to make seeds!
