The Learning Tree is proud to support St. Jude’s research hospital. We recently held a trike-a-thon, which was a huge success!
Not only were the children excited to bring their own trikes and helmets to school, they learned about some important bike safety rules including:
- Always wear a helmet.
- Never ride in the street.
- Always be careful near driveways.
- Always watch where you are going.
- Walk your bike when crossing intersections.
Additionally, all the children were able to watch a safety video and read a book from St. Jude.
Each child received a medal and a driver’s license for completing the St. Jude trike-a-thon challenge. Those that helped raise money were awarded additional prizes! We are also very proud to announce that The Learning Tree earned over $1000 for the St. Jude’s research hospital. We would like to thank all the parents for your very generous donations. St. Jude’s could not provide their excellent service without the help from people like you. Your children are learning valuable lessons in caring through your generosity.
Take a look at all the wonderful things our children are doing for each other while at school. Each leaf represents something a child did to help another. These random acts of kindness are not prompted by the teachers – they are done out of the goodness of that child’s heart. Congratulations for raising such outstanding youngsters!
