Project: Remove and Install Window Film Customer: Tubelite Location: Orlando, FL. When we were called by Tubelite to evaluate their building, we found their windows had 20 year old film with outdated technology.  Besides looking bad with streaks and discoloration, its performance was equally bad. The intensity of heat beating down on their glass was winning the war over the old film. Occupants were dealing with discomfort for most of the work day, absolutely zero privacy, and there was a significant spike in Tubelite's utility bills. This situation obviously needed to be changed. And so we changed it! First we removed the old film,  cleaned the glass thoroughly, and applied Huper Optik Silver 18. The finished product is actually what you see in the picture on the top left hand corner! This shiny, highly acclaimed film has a TSER rating of 80%. TSER is the percentage of all energy from the sun reflected away from a window, as well as the percentage absorbed by the window and released back outdoors. So....with a Huper Optik Silver 18 installation, the interior of  Tubelite quickly transformed from HOT to comfortably cool. The film also rejects up to 80% of the sun's glare and was applauded by all employees who no longer had to squint their eyes while looking at office monitors. All in all, Tubelite cooled down, gained a gorgeous exterior makeover, enjoyed additional privacy, and put an end to outrageous electric bills. Because both the film and the windows met TECO's qualifications for an energy rebate, Tubelite received a significant check in the mail within weeks of our completing the film installation. Great film, great installation, great results, great energy rebate check. Yes, indeed. Tubelight needed a GREAT change and they received it...in more ways than expected!
