Several years ago we were contacted by Bloomsdale Excavating to wrap the roof on a couple of pickup trucks. At first, we weren't sure that we understood what they really wanted as it seemed like an odd request. So, we went to Bloomsdale to get a better understanding.
Once, we were there and saw the facilities and some of their vehicles, we understood. So often, you see standard work trucks that are white with maybe some lettering on the doors, bed and tailgate and it all seems to blend together. Bloomsdale Excavating trucks are red and wanting them to stand out from just any red truck, they want the cab roofs to be white as well as having white strips on the sides of the truck. This gives the trucks a much different look. They are easy to differentiate from others and a great way to build their brand.

When you see a red truck with a white roof, more than likely you are going to see the Bloomsdale Excavating name and logo on the door. Something that you can quickly see and quickly identify Over the years we've had the opportunity to work on other projects with Bloomsdale Excavating as well and learn how important their brand is to them.
The colors used in their logo and name are not just simply red, black and gray. They have very carefully selected Pantone colors to be used and these are used across all mediums including jobsite containers and trailers. It's not always easy to get accurate Pantone colors when printing from a CMYK process, you have to consider any color shifts that may occur when the material is laminated. We printed and laminated numerous samples for the Bloomsdale Excavating logo so we could get the correct colors approved.

Over the years, as ink and material formulations change, we are constantly testing to ensure that we get the same, consistent results of the approved colors. When branding is important to our customers, it's just as important to us. As we like to say, when you look good, we look good.
