When Dakota Blenders were moving into their new facility in 2013, they called Signature Signs & Graphics, Inc for the signage they needed.  We were happy to help them with the exterior building sign, door vinyl and a post and panel sign. We pride ourselves on using only top quality materials so that our customers can get the maximum life out of their signs.  However, even the best sign materials we can buy will not stop a truck.  A few weeks ago, we received a call from Dakota Blender stating that they needed a new post and panel sign, as a truck destroyed the one when did earlier.  When we went out to look at the situation one post was left standing but it was cracked.  The rest of the sign was totally destroyed.  So, we got the old artwork out and began production for a new sign,  as well as ordering a new vinyl post and panel frame system. The sign panel is 3mm aluminum composite (ACM).  We printed graphics for both sides of the panel on our Mimaki CJV33 solvent printer on adhesive backed vinyl.  Once printed, we laminated the prints with a UV gloss laminate.  The prints were then mounted to the ACM sign panel. With the sign panel fitted in the new frame it was almost time for installation.  However, before we could install the new sign we needed to remove the remnants of the old sign.  Due to the local signage regulations we had to put the new sign in the exact same spot as the old one.  That meant we had to remove the remainder of the posts that had been set in concrete.  And of course wouldn't you know, when we were ready to do this it was the hottest day of the year so far! With the holes ready to accept the new sign, the posts were placed in the hole and the sign was leveled up.  Braces were adhered to the post to keep the sign straight and level while the fast setting concrete was mixed and put in the holes.  After 30 minutes the concrete was set up enough for the braces to come off. Unfortunately accidents happen and due to this Dakota Blenders got a new post and panel sign.  We were happy that we were able to again work with Dakota Blenders for their needs.
