Golf tournaments are great team building and social events. Many companies or businesses hold annual golf tournaments to help coworkers or members get to know each other outside of the office. The Dallas Executives Association is no different, and their 2019 annual golf tournament was held at the Cowboys Golf Club in Grapevine, Texas. The Dallas Executives Association (DEA) is a Dallas networking group that was founded back in 1935. This not for profit organization is a group of non-competing businesses with the sole intention to increase the sales of goods and services of its members by working together to share business leads.
Hole sponsor signs are temporary signs that companies pay to advertise on. Essentially, they pay money to the host of the tournament that gets put towards the event. As a thank you for the donation the host will pay for a sign to be placed at each hole on the gold course with the donating business name. Some businesses go even further to offer prizes of someone makes a hole in one on their sponsored hole. These hole sponsor signs are usually disposable and will end up as landfill with next week’s garbage pick up. When we offered to produce the hole sponsor signs, we suggested that we make the signs re-usable. If we made the sponsor’s name portion of the sign with a vinyl that could be removed, then the hole sponsor sign could be reused next year with a new sponsor’s name applied, and the sponsor for this year would have a reusable piece of vinyl with their name and logo on it. They could take it back tot heir office and put it up anywhere they liked. The DEA thought it was a great idea and provided us with all the logos for each hole sponsor sign. Our production team started to create the 18×24 inch base signs out of chloroplast while also printing the removable logo portions onto removable vinyl. In total, the 18 hole sponsor signs were ready on time for the golf tournament.
