The John S. Armstrong Elementary PTA was looking for an identification sign as a graduation gift to be placed above the trophy case at their school. They found Visual Dynamics Sign and Image Solutions online and like our work, so they reached out to us to see what we could do.
The oldest school in the HPISD, John S. Armstrong Elementary has a rich history and seeks to provide a nurturing and positive environment where its students can develop and succeed daily. Through various programs, they encourage their students to be positive contributors to their community and strive to be life-long learners.

The PTA had a vision of a clear acrylic identification sign that had their message on it with a silver backing. It was essential that the sign matched the other signs within the school as well. The quote they wanted the sign to have was from Dr. Seuss’ book Oh The Places You’ll Go; “Oh the places you’ll go! There is fun to be done! There are points to be scored. There are games to be won. And the magical things you can do with that ball will make you the winning-est winner of all”. We got the digital file image of their school logo and mascot and made sure we had an exact color match. We then got to printing out the quote in vinyl letters in the font that matched the work of the Dr. Seuss books. We cut the ACM silver back board larger than the clear acrylic identification sign that would have the vinyl graphics applied to it. Instead of a rectangle, the corners of the two signs were rounded for a unique look. The cut vinyl quote and the John S. Armstrong Eagles A was applied directly to the clear acrylic which was then attached to the silver ACM panel with 6 silver stand offs. The completed identification sign measured 36” wide 2 feet tall and was installed after school hours and quickly covered up with a cover to ensure the element of surprise . To complete the look for the trophy case, we added a 3 foot oval removable vinyl sign for the Armstrong Eagles.

In a great unveiling ceremony, the graduating class of 2019 presented the sign mounted above and within the trophy case and Visual Dynamics Sign and Image Solutions was proud to bring their departing graduates gift vision to life!
The vinyl graphic sign at the bottom of the trophy case is removable. They can reinstall this sign on another clean surface as they need to.
