As KidStrong grew into their second Texas location in Grapevine, they told us they wanted to continue to work with Visual Dynamics Sign and Image Solutions to brand their business. We love the energy of working with a company that we understand and trusts us. We had branded their Kidstrong Frisco, TX location last year, did their vehicle graphics on their Toyota Tundra and even did some work with their Lexington, KY location, so we understood their vision and goals for their visual communication. We were able to pay them a visit at their newest location while construction was on going. This allowed us to see the space, get measurements, come up with some ideas and get straight to work once we got back to the office.
KidStrong is a science-based program designed with pediatric occupational therapists to help kids develop mentally, physically and personally. They wanted to give all kids the tools they need to succeed and thrive in life. Our son had been attending class every week for a year and he loves it. We love that he is learning and developing, and he doesn’t even realize how strong he is becoming both physically and mentally.

To begin branding this Grapevine location, we started with 2 large ACM signs in blue that matched their color scheme. One had their KidStrong logo in white as shown. These signs were both directly secured to the wall using four standoff mounts. Next, we created 3 large wall photos in black and white. The photos they provided us represent the three KidStrong pillars of Mental Development, Physical Development and Character Development. The images are those of members and coaches from their other two (and growing) locations. We printed the images onto vinyl and laminated them before cutting and installing them to foam board.

Then we launched into the awesome wall graphics. Of course, with construction just being completed, that meant fresh paint on the walls; the fear of every wall graphics installer. We were sure to test and select the wall vinyl that worked best with the condition of their walls. The first two wall graphics was the KidStrong mantra that starts and finishes each class; “I AM STRONG. I AM BRAVE. I CAN DO THIS.” We printed this in black onto wall graphic vinyl before we laminated and cut the letters out. Continuing with the black wall graphics, we ran a thick boarder along the walls to a large wall graphic of their KidStrong logo. The final wall graphic we did inside the gym was a 35 ft long wall graphic banner of their name. This banner with the KidStrong name in blue was installed on an angle to be unique and fill their space. Outside the gym we installed three wall graphics with their name. The first one was placed along the wall next to their entrance door. The final two were installed on either side of their corner wall. The results are striking, and they all work together to brand the space and promote themselves in The Fieldhouse at Grapevine Mills.

The final pieces to brand was the equipment. We love customers who can think beyond a sign and challenge us to wrap something that has never been done. Their KidStrong equipment is patent pending and they got us to wrap and brand it for them. We did a wrapped the Krawlers and Pirolettes in color at the Frisco location, but this time they wanted to carry the black and white color scheme through the Grapevine location and we made their vision work. Not necessarily equipment, but just as important are the “brag boards” for the kids. We made four of them: First Class Completed, Milestone Completed, Coaches Award and Alpha. As each kid completed these goals, these brag boards provide the kid a chance to hold the board high and proud while parents and coaches snap pics to post on social media.
