Don’t let your customers get lost when trying to find your location in a store complex. Multi-tenant signs are large cabinet signs that hold smaller signs showcasing the names of each retailer in the complex. It is a cost effective way for landlords to allow their tenants to advertise and it allows for a uniform look for their building. Our friends at Pinot’s Palette opened in Addison, Texas and they contacted us at Visual Dynamics Sign and Image Solutions to get their sign added to both sides of their property’s multi-tenant sign.

Before we could create the signs, we had to complete a site survey. This critical step helps us to see any obstacles that we could encounter during the design and install phase. We had to measure the size of the cabinet space were the signs were to be inserted. Many times, the size of each insert space is different, so we needed to be sure this was exact. Most landlords don’t have the space dimensions for each slot. Too small and the signs would fall out. Too big and the signs would not fir. Sizing is also important to ensure the size of the words for the name of the business is large enough to be seen at a distance. During the site survey, we noted that we would have to use a bucket truck due to the height of the sign cabinet. We needed to make sure there was enough space to bring in a truck of that size as well. Once we had this information, the customer sent us the graphics they wanted on the signs. We were able to color match their logo, so then we got to work on fabrication of both of the tenant signs. The logo was created by printing their logo on translucent vinyl and then applying a laminate to protect the graphic. We then cut out the logo and applied it to the sign white acrylic. The day of the install, we arrived early to block off enough parking spots to get the bucket truck in. The installation was quick and easy as we removed the existing panels and slid the new tenant signs in. The customer was so happy to finally have their multi-tenant signs installed. Now their customers would know which building they were in. It also did not matter which way the customers entered the parking lot, because their name was clearly visible on each side of the raised sign cabinet.
