The Kids Shouldn’t Have Cancer Foundation was preparing for their annual lemonade stand fundraiser an they wanted a large billboard sign to let the residents of Frisco, TX and the surrounding area to know all about it, Visual Dynamics Sign and Image Solutions was there to help. The Kids Shouldn’t Have Cancer Foundation was founded shortly after young Jonny Wade lost his battle with this terrible disease.  It was his dream that no child ever be told they have cancer.  The foundation is fighting to beat pediatric cancer through political action and research with an emphasis on responsible spending. This is not your ordinary lemonade stand.  Brace yourselves.  This is a community wide lemonade stand.  We are talking a minimum of a dozen stands selling lemonade of all kinds and homemade yummy treats.  The families of the Newman Village community in Frisco, TX don’t hold back at this event!  They raised almost
0,000 in 2017 and they are raising the bar with their 2018 lemonade stand. With this goal in mind, we knew we needed to make this sign not just big, but huge!  So a 8’x12’ sign it was!  Since we don’t have the printers that can print this size, we opted to make three 4’x8’ signs and piece them together.  This was a great plan until we learned that the image they wanted to use was in a format that did not allow us to extend the image as we printed it.  This meant that we had one shot to make each panel line up perfectly as we laid the vinyl on the substrate (board).  Our expert designers were able to cut the image in their software and print the image on the 3M vinyl in 3 long sheets.  Our amazing installers were able to apply the vinyl to the AKY Print board panels.  They only had once chance to lay down the vinyl and match the sides up perfectly, and they did it!  We chose to use AKY Print as the substrate because it is an upgrade from Coroplast.  It is more durable for outdoor usage, it won’t warp and there are no visible cell lines that you get with coroplast.  The means that the final image is smooth and not distorted by small lines that run the length of the board.  We carefully wrapped all 3 panels for transportation to Frisco and they were each installed on a pre-existing frame.  Now there was no way for anyone driving by would not know about the KSHC Foundation Annual Lemonade Stand. All of us at Visual Dynamics attended the fundraiser to support this amazing foundation.  The Frisco Fire Department sent over 2 truck and the firefighters handed out helmets to all the kids.  There was a live concert stage and lots of lemonade to drink.  Seeing all the kids volunteering their time to help children with cancer was wonderful.  Teaching then the importance of empathy and giving back is one of the greatest values we can give them. If you have an upcoming event, Visual Dynamics Sign and Image Solutions would love to help you!  Reach out to us today by phone or fill out an online quote request form.  We know that we can be a great addition to your project.
