Project: Hand Painted Logo on Side of New Building

Sparrows is a global provider for international oilfield engineering services, specifically lifting, crane services, equipment rental, and other services relating to machinery in the industry. We have had the pleasure of working closely with the folks from Sparrows for nearly as long as we’ve been in business, and couldn’t have been happier when they asked us to replace their hand painted logo on the side of their building in Houston.
Before we could get started, our first task was to remove the old logo (pictured above), which took several days to do in itself, but left us with a clean slate to get to work painting!
The new logo (pictured above) that we painted on the side of the building stuck to more or less the same design style, but where it formerly advertised “Energy Cranes” is now the corporations name, “Sparrows”. Additionally, we eliminated the white outline of the logo, giving it a much stronger, bolder look. Before we could get started, however, we had to match very specific logo color requirements as well as other very detailed specs on how the logo needs to be set up.
Once all of our materials were in place and we had the scaffolding set up to allow access to the side of the building, everything ran smoothly, taking a total of about four days for the whole process, which included three coats of paint, applied following very specific instructions on how many inches the swishes need to be away from each other and the letters.
While we wouldn’t quite call it rebranding, we were happy to bring a new look to the Sparrows building!
