It must be something that showed from the street, yet made you want to lean in and rest on the wall below. Something that wouldn’t fade too fast, but would stand up to the kids who insisted on jumping after it. . . . Hmm. . . Maybe a wooden sign, or perhaps aluminum? Would that be too modern? Ah, the perfect solution, a 1/2 inch MDF plywood would do the job. Cover it with a heavy vinyl and add a phone number for drop ins. . . An oval, hanging from 2 chains, and a special piece of metal to keep it from swaying when it is hit by a flying fist once in a while.
Finally, we came up with the answer! 3M Gloss Midnight Blue background, and all of the letters are white with a black shadow. . . It worked! Popped! Stands out! Our Fellers agent, Heather Kinney was also a great help.
As you can see, the dentist office on the corner had no ability to put a sign anywhere to advertise. His remedy was to put vinyl on his windows. He designed this himself. After a wrap has been on a vehicle for 7 to 10 years, it can become cracked, faded and it sticks to a vehicle like old nail polish. It sometimes needs to be removed in the same way, with a small plastic razor blade and a heat tool. Sometimes we can use an eraser tool which involves a drill type instrument with an eraser disc. In any case, it can be tedious and time consuming.
