Right on the heels of our monument sign project for Guidestone Church, we put together the location’s custom conference room signs and lettering in Orange County CA. As was the case with that project and the earlier building signage, the client had selected a specific style that this project had to encapsulate.
Reminding Meeting Participants of the Church’s Mission and Vision
For this project, we started with half-inch-thick black PVC. This pre-colored material comes with a bonded brushed aluminum face. Our technicians like this material because there is no need to paint, and the PVC is black through and through. To get similar coverage when working with the standard white PVC takes time.
Of course, the black sides create a fantastic visual counterpoint to the metal facing. Moreover, for the meeting room, the color play resulted in an eye-catching counterpoint to the wall’s palette.
We contour-cut the lettering and logo piece as well as the squares. Once this task was completed, we engraved through the brushed aluminum face on the logo and squares to reveal the black PVC underneath. With this chic look in place, our installers mounted the products with studs.
Using a computer plotted paper installation template, the team was able to pay close attention to the exact placement of the individual style elements. As you enter the conference room, you will notice a sophisticated display that perfectly fits the industrial-chic permeating all other aspects of the project.
