The financing conversation for adult graduate students in Orlando usually starts in the wrong place. Someone in their thirties or forties, mid-career, considers a master's degree, opens a FAFSA form out of habit, and discovers the calculation looks nothing like it did at twenty-two. Institutional scholarships often matter more at this stage than federal programs, and they operate on entirely different criteria.
Vedere University makes this explicit. The Tampa-based university is not eligible for Title IV, so federal financial aid is not available to its students. Vedere runs its own scholarship program instead, with awards covering anywhere from 10 percent to the full cost of tuition.

Four scholarships, four different cases to make
Vedere offers four distinct scholarships that each reward a different kind of evidence.
Leadership Scholarship. For applicants who have shown exceptional leadership in current or prior roles. Mid-career applicants often undersell here, treating a supervisory title as ordinary. Team turnarounds, cross-functional initiatives, and crisis periods someone was trusted to manage all count.
Social Impact Scholarship. For applicants contributing positively through voluntary work, charitable endeavors, or extracurricular engagement. Whether the work is leading a nonprofit or volunteering on weekends, the committee is looking at what the service produced. Professional work with genuine community benefit qualifies.
Entrepreneurship Scholarship. For applicants demonstrating flair for innovation and creativity in an entrepreneurial environment. Founders qualify, and so does someone with a developed concept who has not launched yet. What carries weight is evidence of an idea taken somewhere.
Financial Need Scholarship. For students who can demonstrate significant financial need. Two halves matter here: documented need, and a clear account of what the award makes possible.
How the process runs
Applicants may pursue more than one scholarship. Each requires a short essay submitted separately, and the Admissions Committee reviews scholarship applications alongside the candidate's program application rather than as a later step.
Three practical consequences follow. Applying in a single category leaves funding on the table. Recycling one essay across four categories produces four weak submissions, since the categories reward genuinely different material. And because scholarship review is simultaneous with admission review, the essays need to be ready when the application goes in, not weeks afterward.
A working sequence for returning students
Read the four descriptions and sort them into strong, plausible, and unlikely. Most professionals with a decade of work behind them have a legitimate case in at least two.
Then build each essay to its category. A leadership essay needs a specific situation, the decision made, and the outcome. A social impact essay needs the organization named, and the results of the service stated. A financial need essay needs actual figures and a clear line from the award to degree completion.
Run the scholarship essays and the program application on the same track. Because Vedere uses rolling admission with no formal deadlines, the two converge whenever the applicant is ready. Fall 2026 classes begin September 8, 2026, and Spring 2027 begins January 4, 2027, and Vedere asks for files to arrive a month ahead of whichever date an applicant picks.
