Window Tinting in Minnesnowta?!
Being a window tinting company in the State of Minnesota has brought some unique challenges. Cold weather however, is not one of them. We are often asked, “Do you still tint windows, even in the winter?” The answer to that is yes!
Every one of our employees has grown up in the Midwest. We are used to the weather of all four seasons. We know how to handle ourselves rain or shine, light or dark, and yes, even when the snow falls and the ice thickens.
So when it comes to cold weather, Solar Shield has got you covered.
Okay, so you’re still wondering if cold weather is an issue. The biggest factor cold weather affects is time. For automotive window tinting, the typical drying process takes 2-3 weeks, and that’s when it is warm and sunny. Sun is a huge factor when it comes to the drying process and when it’s winter here in the Twin Cities, we just don’t get a whole lot of it. Because of that, the drying process takes about 3-4 weeks during the winter. For residential and commercial tinting, we have to wait until it is warm enough to tint exterior windows. Temperature doesn’t always stop us, but when it does it’s because it’s 5-10 degrees below (Fahrenheit).
There you have it. Winter may cause delays to your work commute, a lack of corn in the grocery store, and it even closes beaches, but it’s not going to stop us from working here in Minnesota. Don’t let it stop you from giving us a call.
