For Most of us, the impact of Covid-19 is a journey through uncharted waters.  It's hard to anticipate the challenges which await us. We at Stanley M. Davis & Company Insurance Brokers have been in communication with insurance companies about all sorts of concerns including coverage, bill payments, claim filing, and more.  We want you to know that nearly every carrier has been consistent in their message of wanting to work with policyholders who need assistance or more time to pay their premiums.  We strongly urge you to contact us immediately if you need help. We are also monitoring Government activity as like you, we are hopeful that our government will get much needed funds in the hands of workers who have lost their job.  Of course, government does not move quickly but we have seen a sense of urgency like no other, so we are being optomistic! It's never a good idea to let your insurance cancel, but if for some reason you are going to have difficulty paying the premium, you may consider it!  If this happens, we recommend reaching out to us for guidance because we can help navigate your situation with your insurance company.  It may be that due dates are extended and/or payment plans adjusted.  Whatever your situation is, we will do our best to help work something out with your insurer. On the other hand, if you let your car insurance lapse but yet you still need to drive.  Having an accident or other situation like vandalism or theft, could set you much further back than a month or two of premium payments.  A worse outcome could be a loss to your home!  Don't take that chance - talk to us instead!
