I used to be a personal trainer. I was always looking for new ways to help people exercise exercise. The same old grind and repetition can get boring quick. The brain likes new experiences. It’s one of our basic human needs. Gyms also tap into this drive for change. You probably noticed this with your gym. They come up with really funny, sometimes wacky classes to get you motivated to exercise and bring in new clients.
This is my go-to solution I share with my parents. Remember, it’s especially important that you manage your stress, because your nervous system imprints on your kids. It’s not a suprise to me when I work with a stressed or anxious parent that they’ll confide in me that their kid(s) is also stressed and anxious.
