We were contacted by a local insurance company that was renovating part of its office building. Farmers Mutual Insurance Company needed a more prominent sign to greet clients in its entryway. We worked closely with Farmers to select the best design and appropriate materials that would bring the lobby area to life. We followed up by placing two complimentary signs closer to the main office entrance. As you can see in the images, we started with a blank canvas in terms of the wall. The sign that we created was larger than the previous sign and we centered it under the light. The brushed aluminum substrate, with black border, and raised letters brought an elevated presence to the Farmers brand in the lobby. Farmers Mutual Insurance Company of Western Pennsylvania has served the local community since 1876, originally with the idea of providing fire coverage for the local area. After several mergers over the years, Farmers Mutual has stayed true to its philosophy of providing the best possible products, service and price to its policyholders, while maintaining a solid financial base. We worked very closely with our Farmers Mutual client to ensure that multiple design options were provided as well as examples of what the final sign would look like. We landed on a beautiful brushed aluminum max metal panel which we mounted onto a black aluminum max metal panel to create a 3” border. We then added black acrylic letters for the words “Farmers Mutual Insurance Company” and black vinyl film for the phrase “of Western Pennsylvania Since 1876”. We mounted the 60” x 24” sign to the wall with 1” standoffs, which nicely accentuated the overall sign. The second part of the project was to match the brand look of brushed aluminum for two wayfinding signs on the 2^nd floor close to the main office entrance. We used black vinyl film and a handsome border to match the look of the lobby sign we had installed earlier. When we were offered the opportunity to quote this project, we approached it as if the sign were to be placed in our very own lobby. We took care to walk our client through several design options that spanned a variety of price points. We made sure all questions were answered to our client’s satisfaction, and when the design was approved, we set out to make a great looking sign. We kept in close contact with Farmers Mutual to update them along the way and installed the sign on a day that was convenient for them.
