As is the case with many national trade associations, one of the recent clients of the conference and convention photographers of Caught in the Moment Photography has an office in the Washington, DC area to educate legislators and policymakers on the issues that are important to the membership of that specific national association. In this particular case, the national trade association was not itself located in the Washington, DC area but instead only had a relatively small personnel contingent located in the general geographical area in order to be in touch with the legislators or their staff.

One of the many ways that national associations that represent the interests of and advocate for the professionals belonging to the association is to keep the legislators and policymakers that work in and around Washington DC as to what those specific interests are. For this reason it makes perfect sense that these national associations representing specific professions would have either their national headquarters or at least an office in Washington DC in order to be in close proximity to the legislators and policymakers with whom they want to interact. This interaction can take the form of informal meetings, or scheduled meetings at the legislators’ office to discuss the interests of the general membership of the national professional association.
What is probably the best way to educate and inform the legislators and policymakers regarding the specific interests of the members belonging to the national professional association is hearing from the members themselves. Many of these national professional associations have a scheduled time when several of their individual members travel from different parts of the country to visit with legislators that specifically represent them in Washington DC. That visit by individual members of the national professional association to visit legislators and policymakers in Washington DC is a great opportunity for the national professional association to capture imagery that they can then use to share with the rest of the members of the association to keep them informed as to the specific actions that the association is taking in their behalf. Of course that is where the conference and convention photographers of Caught in the Moment Photography come into play. Because the photographers have provided numerous national professional associations and national trade organizations with photography or their members visiting legislators and policymakers in Washington DC, it makes perfect sense that other national trade organizations and national professional associations would also hire them to provide the photography for their visits with legislators and policymakers.
