Old Republic Title partnered with Monarch Sign & Graphics after having been referred by another client based on the two companies shared values in superior customer service and high quality. After Old Republic Title made a move to a new location in Tomball, TX, a quickly growing town, they came to Monarch with a large project, including ADA signage.
Old Republic Title has been around since the early 1900s, focusing their services on providing the best title insurance policies along with related real estate transaction and mortgage lending services and products. Their services are targeted for clients of all kinds including individuals, lenders, businesses, and government entities and agencies. When the company had a need for signs that were compliant with the regulations under the Americans with Disabilities Act, the professional team at Monarch Sign & Graphics knew just where to start.
ADA signage has strict enforcement under the act, which leads signage that does not comply causing steep fines. These signs being improperly manufactured or designed is essentially the same as not having one of the signs at all, which is a fineable offense. As a company that regularly works under these laws and regulations, Monarch had no issue making unique signage for the new location that complied with the letter of the law.
While ADA signage can be bought at many locations, it can come with limitations that impede its use. Typically, only restroom signage can be found in a bigger store and they don’t boast the same customization options as Monarch Sign & Graphics has to offer. The company produces high-quality signage that takes both visual impairment and design of the office into consideration, creating a product that is both compliant and eye-catching.
To best match the style of Old Republic Title, a brushed aluminum was used in the background of the sign. For the best contrast, black tactile pictograms and text were used. This created a modern look that was still easy to read. Under ADA, Braille must be present on all signage for permanent signs, which was also added in the process. Placement of the signs can be just as important as creating an easy-to-read design.
If a sign is too high or too low, it can be difficult to see or find for those with visual impairments. Monarch Sign & Graphics kept this in mind as the professional team installed the signs. The company takes the same level of consideration when performing the installation of signs not designed or created themselves.
