SELL AND LEASE FASTER WITH AN EFFECTIVE COMMERCIAL REAL ESTATE SIGN
Seasoned commercial real estate agent know full well that advertisements and MLS listings will only get you so far. A well-executed and well-placed sign is typically your best bet for drawing attention to your listed property and getting results. Here are a few key thing to pay attention to when planning your sign strategy:
DESIGN AND LAYOUT
Color Contrast: While high traffic locations fare better than moderate or low traffic areas, all will benefit from a correctly designed, built and placed sign. It’s important to incorporate good
color contrast into your design. Proper color contrast makes it easy for the viewer to discern one piece of information from another. Use
fonts that are easily readable and colors that are both eye-catching and contrasting. Remember, viewing time will be very short (4-6 seconds) so it’s paramount that key information be conveyed.
Layout is also very important and the primary goal is to draw the viewer’s attention immediately to the most important pieces of information that you’re trying to communicate. A
central messages such as “FOR SALE”, “FOR LEASE”, “COMING SOON”, “FOR RENT” and “AVAILABLE” are commonly featured on good commercial real estate signs. Your
phone number and
name must be easy to identify by the viewer. Your
company name/logo and email address should also be easily seen as it may be the most recognizable bit of information the viewer will come away with.
Graphics: It goes without saying ways incorporate
eye-catching graphics into your sign design when you have the opportunity. People are initially drawn to color and design much more than they are to letters and numbers.
