There aren’t a lot of things worse than sitting down at a restaurant to enjoy a nice comfortable lunch, when you get seated at the table that has the sun glaring through the windows. You know it’s going to be hot. You know it’s going to be uncomfortable.
That’s why Pie in the Sky pizzeria, located in the Cool Springs area of Franklin, TN, went looking for help before they even opened their doors. They realized that the Western facing side of their restaurant was going to be unbearable for their guests. There was was too much glare and heat.
So they set out to get a few quotes from local companies that could provide help with a window tinting solution. They mentioned that they were shown a few options, the first being a reflective film that would have a mirror-like look. They definitely did not want this option. Restaurants need to have windows so their guests can feel comfortable with ambient light and a view of the outside of the building.
Another option they were shown were 100% dyed automotive films, which would have turned purple over time. This would have ended up being very costly for Pie in the Sky had they had to remove the automotive film, and replace it with a professional solution that would fit this application – a restaurant store front window.
When we met with Pie in the Sky, we recommended a film that would meet all of their requirements – Huper Optik’s Ceramic 30 window tinting film. It reduces glare and cuts down dramatically on the amount of heat that would otherwise enter the restaurant. In addition, it cuts out harmful UV rays that damage the restaurant’s interior furnishings and cause fading over the years. Now they can continue to provide a great, and comfortable place to get a great piece of pizza in the Cool Springs area.
