What good is it having an amazing view if you can’t see it?
Often, people will find their dream home with that million dollar view that they always wanted, but due to the harshness of the sun, have a hard time enjoying it. If you had a view, like the one seen in the image to the left, wouldn’t you want to enjoy it? After all, that’s really what you pay for when you buy a view home.
We received a call from a homeowner in Gallatin, TN who was having a problem with glare coming off the lake, as seen in the image above. In addition to the glare problem, their great room was getting unbearably hot. They wanted to know if there was something that we can do to help them enjoy all the great things about their view, without the negatives of heat and glare.
There are many types of solutions to this problem, from covers, to what we offer with window tinting films. For this project, we used Huper Optik’s Ceramic 30 window tinting film to install on the windows that face the lake. These window films have a rating of 63% solar heat rejection, and 62% glare reduction with a lifetime warranty included.
One comment we received from our customer was how the film gives the view a crisp, high-definition look. This is due to the fact that you don’t have to squint, and the sun’s glaring rays are not impeding your ability to clearly see the lake and its surroundings. By filtering out some of the unwanted light, while still allowing a substantial amount of light in, the view is easier to on the eyes, and thus appears to be more of a ‘high-definition’ view.
