When considering how to incorporate environmental branding into your work space, think about all the areas within your building that can be transformed: offices, conference rooms, lobbies, hallways, elevators, doorways, columns, and even floors. Branding Elements: Branding elements include: custom interior signs, wall murals, column wraps, elevator graphics, wayfinding (directional) signs, floor signs, window & glass door graphics, and standup displays (just to name a few.) Almost any surface within your company or organization’s walls can be used for branding. Examples of Well-Executed Branded Environments: Now let’s take a look at how some companies are using effective environmental branding in their work spaces. The first project is one of our own! Bisha Hotel Toronto (Loews Hotels): [caption id="attachment_1483" align="aligncenter" width="600"] We helped the Bisha Hotel Toronto create a fun, Toronto-themed ‘back of the house’ branded environment for hotel employees. [/caption] We recently installed digitally printed graphics in the ‘back of the house’ (work rooms, hallways, and service elevators) at the Loews Bisha Hotel Toronto. We placed vinyl graphics on a combination of surfaces, including doors, drywall, glass, and textured surfaces. The hotel employees now have a much more aesthetically pleasing space to work and gather! We’ve completed several similar installations for Loews hotels throughout the US and Canada. Now, here are a few environmental branding projects that are NOT 12-Point projects…..just really cool examples! Coca-Cola Offices in Belgrade (by Designer Peter Gregson) [caption id="attachment_1484" align="aligncenter" width="600"] Coca-Cola created this fun space for employees in Belgrade's headquarters. This is a great example of a well-executed branded environment![/caption] Coca-Cola’s branding and mission are clearly displayed throughout the Coca-Cola corporate offices in Belgrade. What a fun workspace! This was a project by designer Peter Gregson. Australian Institute of Management NSW and ACT Office Space in Australia (by e2) [caption id="attachment_1485" align="aligncenter" width="600"] Wouldn't this be a great place to work or study? The use of large wall murals, signage and other design elements create a comfortable space in this educational setting.[/caption] e2 did a great job designing a unique learning environment for the Australian Institute of Management NSW and ACT. As you can see, the workspace is stimulating and inviting for members, students, staff and guests. The use of wall murals and signage throughout really pulls the space together. Bing Office Space (by Green Rubino) [caption id="attachment_1486" align="aligncenter" width="600"] These bright, colorful wall murals work together with Bing's logo signage to create a cool branded environment. This wall looks like a Bing search page![/caption] Bing’s homepage (with its awe-inspiring imagery) was the inspiration for the beautiful workspace at Bing’s corporate headquarters. Designed by Green Rubino, the large wall murals and custom signage feature motivational keywords, amazing graphics and branded elements that are similar to a user’s experience with Bing. Nike’s London offices (by Creative Agency Rosie Lee) [caption id="attachment_1487" align="aligncenter" width="600"] Nike's London offices are a great example of how the company's products can influence the look of the corporate workspace. Doesn't this remind you of Nike's athletic shoes?[/caption] Creative agency Rosie Lee was inspired by Nike athletic products to create this exciting space for Nike employees. The wall murals, signs and window graphics work together to create an energized branded environment!
