Today, we celebrate the place we all call home,
Earth.
Although we all live in many different areas in the world and experience different things, we have to stand together to preserve the only planet where we all live and breath.
Even with the current pandemic crisis, you can still be a part of this movement digitally and still do your part by creating awareness for this year’s Earth Day theme, climate change. Here at 12-Point SignWorks, we always try to do our part in staying green.
Check out how we do that in small, but effective ways to preserve the life-support systems around us!

Did you know that one of our guiding values is being thrifty? We are careful in our usage of materials and our time to avoid waste and to provide cost-effective services and products.[/caption]
We use our sign printing equipment for many custom projects such as banners, yard signs, A-frames, vehicle decals and more! Doing so, we understand the importance of avoiding waste with our printing material.

Our HP L570 printer has a recycling program for empty cartridges.[/caption]
We try to consider which jobs can be run together and we look at different ways to break larger graphics up into smaller pieces to maximize the yield from a roll of material.

Our print office is pretty colorful, but also the one place where a lot of our waste comes from.[/caption]
We love the rolls of pre-colored and printable vinyl products that we carry to make all types of custom signs and graphics, and this also gives our printing office wonderful decor. However, the waxy release liners of these products are not recyclable. So, what do you do with non-recyclable products?
Find other ways to make use of it!

Everytime we package materials, we always document what we use in order to remain cost effective and to avoid waste.[/caption]
We try to use as much of it as we can around the office for things such as a temporary, clean surface (for the floor or a table) or for packaging materials.

Waste from car wrap material are normally non-recyclable. Have you ever thought about using some leftovers to take home to do some wrapping practice, especially during the “Stay at Home” order?[/caption]
Although our efforts seem small, they make a huge impact on our environment. By recycling and reducing our waste, we help reduce the amount of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere and reduce the flow of materials into landfills.
