Born in the heart of South America, this visionary designer gave life to the OLINDA brand seventeen years ago.
Leaving the family shoe business, she opened her own boutique in Asuncion, Paraguay highlighting her own designs. Today, the designer’s family is actively involved with the business. Husband, Carlos, an attorney, manages the growing company and their three daughters, “the Galilea girls”, have worked in international sales, communications/marketing and domestic retail.
The OLINDA concept:
A woman who knows who she is and what she wants looks to OLINDA for shoes, handbags and accessories to mark every important moment of her day. One of the designer’s guiding tenets is that shoes and handbags are fashion statements, not just an accompaniment to clothing.
The OLINDA brand is based on three important characteristics; fashion, quality and value. Skilled craftsmen and women hand-make each OLINDA article. As the brand success and recognition grew, handbags and belts were added to the collections.
The brand’s international expansion was launched with the creation of OLINDA USA Inc. in 2007. Upscale independent retailers are the marketing focus in the U.S..
Headquartered in New York, OLINDA USA maintains an office in Manhattan and a distribution center on Long Island.
