What is branding and why is it so important? Branding is a marketing practice in which a company creates a name, symbol or design that is easily identifiable to your target market as a representation of the company. The brand helps to identify a product and distinguish it from other products and services of other competitors. Branding is important because not only is it what makes a memorable impression on your customers but it allows your customers and clients to know what to expect from your company. It works to clarify what it is you offer that makes you the better choice. Your brand is built to be a true representation of who you are as a business, and how you wish to be perceived.
There are many components necessary to develop a brand including advertising, promotional merchandise, reputation, and logo. All of these elements work together to create one unique and (hopefully) attention-grabbing professional profile.
One way we can help you develop your brand is through the utilization of your business space. Many businesses make a point of developing exterior signage to identify your space and help with way finding, but what about your interior space? You spend a lot of money to make your interior space look presentable and comfortable for your employees, but what have you done to promote your business internally? Not only will this help reinforce your branding message to your clients and customers but it also represents a sense of pride to your employees.
So how do you go about branding the interior of your space? There are a host of options that are limited only to your imagination. There are wall graphics, dimensional signs and plaques, illuminated sign options, floor graphics and window graphics.
While many businesses may not have a full branding guide, a strong established brand knows who they are and has a clear idea how they want to be presented.
We recently completed a project for STP Investments, a client that just moved into a new office space in West Chester. The trends today is open space areas and one way to provide that while maintaining some privacy and division of space is the utilization of glass walls and dividers. This space utilized that architectural feature to provide the open space feel and maintain as much natural light from the exterior windows into the main space of the office. We used frost and translucent vinyl’s in a simple striped pattern on the offices to create some privacy and add color while allowing the natural light to flow into the main floor.
Of course for an executive conference room where you work with the executive team, clients and investors you want to show off your brand so we worked with our client to create a design scheme that would eliminate the “fishbowl” look of the conference room while adding color, a unique pattern that reflects the modern feel of the brand, as well as their logo in a translucent vinyl to allow the natural light illuminate the graphic.
Our design team knocked it out of the park. The intricate design reflects the organizations modern and innovative approach to servicing their customers. The install team did a superb job with the installation. The end result is a very modern looking space that proudly displays their logo while providing some sense of privacy.
