Downingtown, PA – From Logo Creation to Custom Signage: Re-Branding Essentials

BY: Your Name, Your Business

In the lifespan of every business there comes a time where there is a need for a re-brand. These past few months have been a roller coaster for businesses with new markets emerging, businesses being forced to shut their doors and people working from home. While the pandemic has negatively affected businesses, it has also left room for businesses to evolve and grow into new markets. Whether your business is expanding, you are pursuing a passion project, you are opening a new branch or you’ve decided that it’s time for a change, we’ve got you!

The branding of a business is more than just for aesthetics, it showcases who you are and what you stand for!

Over the past few months we have written several articles around branding and logo design in order to provide some insights on how to go about creating a your brand/logo, things to consider, as well as what a logo does for your business. We can’t stress enough the importance to get this right so that your image is attractive to your potential customer base. Additionally, creating an image that can be recognized at a glance is a huge advantage in that brand recognition drives loyalty and sales!

The process of creating a logo varies client to client as every business has a different desired look, seeks different components and holds a unique place in the market. The more a business knows what it is looking for, the easier (and more cost effective) the logo design process is!

We recently worked with Old Skool Heating and Air Conditioning to create a standout logo and brand identity to begin to market their new space. In talking with the owners it was reiterated that they focus on doing things traditionally. Unlike many HVAC companies, Old Skool works to fix things rather than replace them. They wanted their logo to represent this, keep an old/vintage aesthetic and they had dreamt up the idea of using an “Elvis” polar bear in their logo.

Our design team went to work to create a logo that encompassed the brand. They were ecstatic with one of the examples and requested a few minor changes. After incorporating the updates the customer was extremely excited to start the process to brand their monument sign and front door glass. Everything from the color choice, fonts, orientation and textures were taken into account to bring the clients vision into a composition that will create an impact!

Consistency in branding is key, so we worked with the logo to create various images to fit within different spaces while keeping continuity amongst the imagery. Due to the small horizontal panel on the monument sign, we created a variation of their logo to fit properly utilizing the same colors, textures and fonts. The art for the window graphic for their front door showcases the final logo with the addition of their phone number. The window on their space was already frosted with vinyl on the inside creating a white background allowing for the dark features of the logo to pop!

They approved the art and we proceeded with production on both graphics. We digitally printed and laminated 3M IJ180 vinyl on our HP360 Latex printer creating a long lasting vibrant graphic for their window. We contour cut the graphic on our Graphtec plotter to create a sense of dimension. The monument graphic was also printed on our HP360 Latex printer and applied over the entire panel.

Within a week we had the graphics installed and now their new location is easy to find and their office door is very prominent around the other tenant’s doors. Their new logo is going to be used on T-shirts, vehicle magnets and across the companies platforms to create a cohesive and fun image for the brand!
