Mergers, acquisitions and changes in business strategy are primary reasons for the need to re-brand; all of which require different strategies, processes and timelines.
For mergers and acquisitions, name changes depend greatly on the power of each company involved. The strength of product, services and the brand as a whole are important considerations in how you treat a re-brand effort. In some instances, the brand is retained and the entities continue to operate separately. If one brand is much stronger than the acquired brand, then it is time to strategize on how to integrate the stronger brand into the other entity.
A change in business strategy is also a common reason for branding changes. As businesses grow, develop and adapt to the changing business environment, sometimes they find themselves offering new or different services to the degree that the current brand does not reflect who they are today. It is important to have a brand that translates who you are to your customer base.
We have supported many companies through the re-branding process by providing logo design services, custom branding guides to reflect their new image, interior branding design and signage that clearly reflects the new brand in a medium that best fits the environment in which it is displayed.
Just recently we were called upon by Paradise Management to help them re-brand a newly acquired apartment home community. They had needs for new way finding signage, billboard signage and interior signage. After a thorough site survey we were able to propose a package that utilized many of the existing structures as they were in very good condition. The proposal was not just a budget friendly changeover but also created less disruption in the community by eliminating the need for demolition and new excavation.
We were able to reface the way finding signage as the substrates and aluminum structures were in great condition. We replace the old billboard with new panels while retaining the original structure. We replaced interior branding signage with new office hours panel that has a slider to display they are temporarily out of the office showing apartment units.
The graphic images are digitally printed with our HP360 latex printer providing long lasting vivid colors. We use a long term laminated vinyl that will provide years of service without pealing, cracking or fading.
The billboard panels are made from an exterior grade MDO. To add to the durability of the panels we seal the edges with a water proof adhesive and then prime and paint the exposed edges and faces to prevent moisture damage and early failure of the substrate.
