With a sluggish economy many business are expanding their marketing efforts to include many forms of outdoor advertising (banners, A frame signs, tear drop signs, flags, etc).
Here are a few tips for you when creating your outdoor advertising campaign.
1. Aim directly at your audience. Who are your most popular customers? Design your outdoor advertisement to target people just like them. Use the message that lured them to you on your advertisement.
2. Know what you want to say. Most outdoor signage has a limited amount of space. Use it effectively by placing only one targeted message on your outdoor sign. Most people will be passing by your sign, it needs to speak quickly!
3. Put your advertisement at eye level. It is natural for us to look at eye level, so maximize your visibility! If you expect most people to be in a car while viewing your advertisement adjust the height of your teardrop banner to reflect that. If your property is lower than street level buy a taller sign.
4. Do something different, stand out! So everyone in the neighborhood has a A frame sign. Put up a swivel sign that follows the wind but doesn’t take up any more area then an A frame.
5. Humor. Everyone loves a little bit of humor. Not only will you give someone a chuckle but they will be more likely to respond and remember your outdoor sign.
